Edgeley Park (capacity 10,841)
Stockport County have played at Edgeley Park since 1902, after a spell at Green Lane. The club go by the nickname of ‘The Hatters,’ so called because of the Town’s former hat making industry.
Having spent 106 years in the football league, Stockport slipped into the non league in 2011 and finally returned for the start of the 2022/23 season. The stadium itself is a good size for the level in which they play, with the large two tier Cheadle End dominating one end of the stadium. The main stand is named after club legend Danny Bergara.
Away fans visiting Edgeley Park are located in one half of the Together Stand, more commonly known as ‘The Popular Side’. There is a typical allocation of 900 though this can be increased to around 1,400 for bigger games.
There are a few pay and display car parks within a 5-10 minute walk of Edgeley Park. There are also a couple of matchday car parks available too. Otherwise it’s street parking though be mindful that some streets are resident parking only zones.
