SWINDON TOWN

Energy Check County Ground (capacity 15,728)

Swindon Town have played at the County Ground, currently known as the Energy Check County Ground, since 1896. The first stand was built using £300 donated by a local brewery, owned by Thomas Arkell, who the modern day Arkell’s Stand is named after.

The Don Rogers Stand is the newest stand, opened in 1994. It is a cantilever stand, with a large upper tier and a smaller lower tier. The Arkell’s Stand is opposite and is a single tiered all seater stand. Both end stands are also all seater but are much smaller in comparison, and only one of them is covered.

Away fans visiting the Energy Check County Ground are located in the Arkell’s Stand, with a typical allocation of around 1,200. For larger away followings, the Stratton Bank Stand can be allocated, which holds 2,100.
