Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
I tend to travel to most away games but this is one of our closer games.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
We travelled to the game by car and it was very easy to locate the stadium as we have been here before.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
The car park was easy to find, we parked at the Rynkild Trading Estate which this website recommends and we park there before. The price is £5 and only have to cross the road then you are at the away turnstile. It can take 10-20 minutes to leave the car park at the end of the game as the roads are blocked by traffic.
Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?
We did not go to any pubs before this game but our fans used The Beech Inn which we walked past and is usually packed with away fans, they have a burger van which serves food outside and has its own outside bar with a TV which is brilliant. Also just a short walk away from the stadium.
Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?
We walked down the main road to Costa Coffee which serves good snacks, there is also a McDonald’s on the main road next to Costa Coffee as well. We also had food at the stadium which has a kiosk which does a range of food. We went for a chip butty and my cousin had chips with curry sauce, the chips are not great but the curry sauce was lovely.
What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?
The range of food and drink was brilliant at the ground. They only have one kiosk which takes ages to get through but the food quality is not that great but nice to see more options then we would normally see at other grounds.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
The away end is good as it is located behind the goal. I hate being in a terrace though as you can be quite cramped but one of the better terraces I’ve been to.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
The atmosphere from our fans was unbelievable like usual. We did go silent in the 96th minute when we conceded to finish 2-2 but that is expected. I normally like to praise the home fans but there was nothing to praise there, they didn’t have many fans at the game which you could tell as it was very very quiet.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
10 but that’s because I did not see or hear any of them.
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
It is not the best away ground to get away from if you are parking close to the ground as the main roads get blocked by traffic so you need to be patient and wait.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes, the second time there, is always a good day out.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
I chose this game because I hadn’t done Burton before so it would have been a new ground for me. I was only looking forward to the new ground as I knew the performance from my side would be terrible!
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
We drove up (4 of us). It was really easy to get to – we did it in just over 2 hours from Bristol. We were able to park near the ground.
Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?
We went to The Lord Burton. Atmosphere was ok – not loud but it was busy!
Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?
We went to KFC after the game…always good value!
What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?
We didn’t have any food but the drink was ok. Not much choice of cider or lager but that’s pretty standard!
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
The away end was interesting…we went up some steps to get to the terracing. The view was absolutely fine. It was behind the goal and we were near the front so we could unfortunately see everything.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
Pretty dull. Couldn’t hear any noise from Burton fans. The only noise was when we sang but there wasn’t much to sing about.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
Didn’t come across any – but there was no trouble.
How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?
£13 on the ticket, £10 for petrol and about £20 on drinks.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes! There’s a pub right outside the ground which is handy.
