Review by Plymouth Argyle fan Ben Yeoman

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

I travel to most away games but Argyle have not had an away game for the last three games so I was buzzing to get on the road again for a new ground for me.

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

We travelled to the game by car which took us 5 hours. Straight up the M5-M42-M6-M69-A46. Leaving early means the roads are always quiet meaning we can get up there a bit quicker. When we arrived into Lincolnshire the roads were easy to navigate and parking was easy to find.

If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?

Car parking was easy to find as we used the recommended car parks on this website like we always do. We park at South Commons car park which was £5 and it is in a massive field very close to the ground. It’s also at the bottom on the town strip so you can walk up easily to find the local shops and pubs.

Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?

Before the game, we went to the Ritz which was on the high street, it is a Wetherspoons pub which was full of home and mostly away fans. Good food and drink ordered from the app and arrived quickly.

What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?

Two massive burger vans located inside the stadium which offer good food but slightly pricey. Food kiosk also outside the ground which looked like it did great food.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

The away end was located behind the goal which had a good view of the pitch. The only problem was some fans could not find there seats as the letters of each row was mixed up or missing.

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

The atmosphere from our fans was loud and proud like always. Home fans had a noisy block on the stand next to the away end and have to give them credit as they were singing all game only cringe bit was they had two fans facing them instead of the game trying to start the chants.

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

No problems, so 10/10.

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

Quick and easy to get away from the stadium after the match.

If you stayed over, where did you stay and was it convenient for getting to the stadium?

We stayed in a premier inn located in Leicester as it is always good to drive an hour home after the game with it being so far. Amazing like always.

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Yes, very good day out.
