Review by Huddersfield Town fan James Jessop
Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
A Terriers fan living in Peterborough, with a brother who supports Posh, this was not one for me to miss! Start of the season, with a huge feel good factor at the club, I was buzzing for this game.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
Drove with Brother/Dad. Really easy as I don’t live far away at all.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
Big multi story car parks about 5/10 minute walk away. Not short on parking options.
Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?
Went to Charters (on the river bank opposite ground). Was full of predominantly away fans. A great buzz around the place, even if my beer felt weak!
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
I was in the GH Display behind the goal. Decent modern stand and better than the wooden seats in the main stand where most our away fans were sat.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
Great. The home fans next to use were loud and had good banter till Antony Evans shut them up. We kept it going all match.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
6/10.
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
Quite easy but it helps I know the local area well.
How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?
Probably about £50. Its one of the easiest away days and the stadium is in a ideal location.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Of course but sit behind the goal if possible.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
We decided to go the away game because we were in the area for that weekend celebrating our Wedding Anniversary.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
I drove there from Skegness which is about 100 miles of mainly country roads, but we had no hold ups.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
Parked in city centre multi-storey £6 for 5 hours and then we walked to the ground.
Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?
Atmosphere in the pubs was good as was all away fans and not much home support. We joined up with a few away fans in Wetherspoons.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
As we were 5 rows from the front in Row E, the view was good but not much leg room but when we are away prefer to stand anyway.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
It was all the away end singing until Peterborough went two up and then the home fans started, but very soon 3-0 down and two men sent off, but we were still singing until the final whistle.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
Friendly fans but not many of them and we saw no trouble. 7/10.
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
We went for a coffee after the game and were going back to Skegness so we got away without any problem.
How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?
£40 tickets, another £40 on food and drink, £15 on petrol from Skegness and back and £6 parking so just over £100 for 2 of us.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes, but don’t expect much leg room if you get a seated ticket.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
Late decision to go to the match. We had a large allocation and hadn’t sold out. Don’t get to many away games so three of us decided to make the trip.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
Travelled by car. It was around a 3 hour journey. We were lucky with traffic there and back. Easy links to A1.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
We parked at the Railway Museum. Ample parking for £3 all day. 5 minutes walk from the ground. Easy to get away after the game.
Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?
We went the the Peacock before the game. On the main road from the ground. Opposite end to where we parked. Good mix of home and away fans, friendly atmosphere. Lots of staff, so easy to get served. Decent prices and standard drinks range. Showed the early kick off on Sky.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
An old, compact, traditional ground. We were in the Main Stand, towards the half way line. Some roof supports in view but that was to be expected. Seats are compact so not much leg room for those sitting.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
Atmosphere was ok. Away fans loud at the start. Home fans singing once 2-0 up. Finished 3-0.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
Not much interaction but no trouble at all. 7/10.
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
Easy as there were excellent road links.
How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?
Approximately £100.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes. I’d visit again and probably visit a few more pubs before. Seemed a good variety.
