Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

I went to the game as I really wanted to go to an away game for the first time.

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

We went by car, although it was a long drive we stopped by a service station on the way there.

If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?

We stayed at a hotel which had free parking.

Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?

We ate at Gregg’s and Nando’s and had some food at the stadium.

What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?

I had a steak and ale pie and a Fanta which is a 5/10. We also had this repulsive burger which was not nice at all.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

Lovely view behind the goal, and no obstructed view.

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

Home fans were quite for most of the game although from my perspective our Reading fans bought some noise!

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

8/10.

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

10-minute walk to hotel.

If you stayed over, where did you stay and was it convenient for getting to the stadium?

We stayed at a Holiday Inn which served a really nice breakfast.

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

I spent £100 which was definitely good value for money!

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Yes, I would.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

Always liked Lancashire away games, and never been to Preston before. Found a cheapish train ticket from London for around a £35 return.

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

Got the train, easy to access. Changed at Leeds, and plenty of other football fans on the 07.35 train!

If you got the train, how easy did you find it to make your way to the stadium from the station?

It’s a 30 minute walk. But plenty of pubs round the station that are away pubs with a brilliant atmosphere.

Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?

The Station is a must. Juke box, sports, cheap drinks and easy access! Made for a great pre-match atmosphere.

What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?

Closed at half time due to crowding. Too cramped and old fashioned, needs a much bigger bar.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

Perfect view, no problem.

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

Preston fans non existent, but large away allocation of 3,500.

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

10/10 sadly.

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

Very straightforward.

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

Over £100 but well worth the trip.

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

This was my favourite away game of the season. The atmosphere before, how easy the train was. Seeing other football fans at games, and the history of Preston was great.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

I chose as it was a local derby, my friend was up from uni and we were able to get young adult tickets and save some money.

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

I drove to the game and parked a mile from the stadium. It was very easy just a shame there was so many 50mph zones on the motorway.

If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?

Yeah I did my research before I left so knew where to park a few streets from Deepdale.

Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?

Moor Park pub on the corner. Good atmosphere.

Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?

Went to the KFC in the M6 services on the way home.

What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?

The pie was cold, over priced and small for the £3 we paid. There was no lager available at the time, only cider. There was also roughly 500 people being served by 2 guys during half time.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

My view was not great as we booked tickets late so we were low down near the corner flag.

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

Great atmosphere from both home and away fans. The first 15 minutes the home fans were very quiet.

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

6/10 sadly. There was a few in the pub who were great but sadly out weighed by the bad ones in the ground.

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

Very easy as where we parked meant there was no queues or buses.

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

£48 in total for me and my friend.

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Absolutely. Will go again next time we are away at Preston.

Is there anything else you want to tell other away fans about your day?

We found the security were not polite towards the Wigan fans and sadly treated us like we were all trouble makers even though there was no wrong doing on the day. I was shoved by a steward when queuing for the toilet and sworn at.
