Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

I chose Reading because it’s near me, easy to get to and tickets were only £5 for me. It is the first away match I attended without my dad, I met my friend there who lives 5 hours away.

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

I took a bus to Slough and a train to Reading, with a return train ticket costing £5.05. I then got a bus to the stadium which was a £3 return, which Reading subsidise.

If you got the train, how easy did you find it to make your way to the stadium from the station?

The stadium is three miles from the train station. There is an unopened train station closer to the ground which will be very convenient once opened.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

The away end was modern and the view unobstructed.

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

The away end sold out in four hours so it was a very lively atmosphere!

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

7/10!

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

I waited half an hour for a bus back to Reading then took the train back to Slough. My dad picked me up from Slough station so no need to get a bus.

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

Ticket: £5 | Train: £5.05 | Snacks: about £3 so about £13 all in all

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Yes.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

Decent FA Cup draw, plus club legend Charlie Adam also plays for Reading.

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

Took the coach, which was a hefty 5 hour journey. Stopped at Henley on Thames before the game for 2 hours which was nice.

Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?

Went to Wetherspoons in Henley. Didn’t have chance to go to the pubs near the ground. No atmosphere as there were quite a lot of residents as you would expect in a Wetherspoons.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

Nice away end with a good open view, no impaired vision. Close to the home fans so there is always bound to be agro especially when the goals go in.

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

Quite disappointing, probably because it was an FA Cup game. The action on the pitch made up for the atmosphere however!

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

8/10!

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

Coach £30, pints £14, food £10, match ticket £5. Decent value for money I’d say.

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Not for a cup game, but definitely for a league game.
