How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

We travelled by the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association coach.

The New York Tavern. Great selection of real ales priced at £2.50.

The sausage roll was really good!

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

We had a great view from behind the goal!

The atmosphere was brilliant!

10/10 from what we saw before the game.

Yes, definitely.

Is there anything else you want to tell us about your day?

The stewards were very friendly. Very long queues for food at half time.

Review by Wycombe Wanderers fan Emily Isaac

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

I enjoy following Wycombe Wanderers away from home. I was looking forward to it because of how well our season has started and we want it to continue like that!

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

I travelled via car. Broke down on the M1 the night before and got to hotel at 6.15am so not an easy travel.

If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?

Parked at hotel and got taxi to the stadium due to the car issue.

Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?

Ate at the Beefeater which was good value and good sized portions.

What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?

Drink was good. Not sure on the prices though as someone else paid for them.

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

Great view. One of the best League One grounds. Great facilities!

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

Away fans good. Home fans very quiet!

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

6/10

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

Got taxi but very easy with people and car park emptying quickly.

If you stayed over, where did you stay and was it convenient for getting to the stadium?

Yes, we stayed over the night before the game at the Premier Inn Rotherham East. It was convenient and close to the stadium as well as the M1/M18.

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

Spent over £100 but was good value as got 3 points!

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Yes. Good facilities in away end which always makes an away day good!

Review by Bolton Wanderers fan Paul Smallshaw

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?

This was the first game back after the international break and domestic football had been missed!

How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?

We got to the game by car, travelling from Bolton over the snake pass and through Sheffield to Rotherham. Took about 90 minutes.

If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?

For parking we looked at going to the multi storey in the town centre but managed to get in a small car park next to the train station, which was £3 for all day. There was parking next to the ground which was empty an hour before the game, but we were only 5 mins from the ground ourselves so that was ok.

What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?

Food inside the stadium was ok. They served the normal pies, hot dogs etc which is nothing different from anywhere else. Beer was on sale before the game but there were issues with changing the barrels, and by half time there was no draught lager. Surely they hadn’t sold out!

What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?

The view from the away end was amazing, and with the ground being small it was very close knit!

What was the atmosphere like during the match?

Atmosphere was tremendous from our end, but the home supporters were very quiet, even when they went ahead. Even though there were 2,000 Bolton fans and 8,000 Rotherham fans, we still out sang them!

How friendly were the home fans out of 10?

10/10

How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?

Getting away from the stadium was pretty easy. We were guided out of the stadium by the stewards and barriers so you couldn’t go the wrong way.

How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?

Tickets cost £23 adult and £6 kids, probably spent £60 today. Transport was fee via friends.

Would you recommend this away day to other fans?

Would definitely recommend as was a great ground to get to and was better than expected when we got there.
