Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
2nd against 4th plus I had never been to this ground.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
Went with a friend by car and the journey was quite easy apart from 1 wrong turning on the M60.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
Found a small car park very near to the ground (5 minute walk) and as the kick off was 5:15 it only cost 90p.
What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?
Didn’t have any food but other fans didn’t have any complaints apart from the cheeseburger was not hot. Small bottle of lager at £4.20 from the food kiosk and then after I bought it the Bar opposite opened where I had a very nice pint of lager at £4.90. However my driving friend couldn’t have a drink as no black coffee available.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
Nice small stand which generates a loud noise although a couple of poles did obstruct our view.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
We sold out our allocation and as it was a top of the table clash, a very good atmosphere was generated.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
8/10
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
No problem whatsoever.
How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?
Approx £66 all in which is okay bearing in mind most of it was for petrol.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes definitely!
Is there anything else you want to tell us about your day?
It was one of those days a football fan dreads. Lift was late to due to a diversion, got soaked waiting for him, went a different way to the M1, took a wrong turn on the M60. Pub we were going to didn’t allow away fans in, no black coffee and MK decided to play in white so wrong colour shirt on. Started really well and should have scored at least 1 goal before our keeper gifted them a goal. From then on it went from bad to worse and we suffered our heaviest defeat of the season. In front of the cameras as well!! Unless something drastic happens that’s our automatic promotion dreams in ruins so it’s the lottery of the play-offs for us.
