Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
Went to this game because it’s a new ground for me and one we don’t play away at very often as we only really meet in cup games such as this one. Felt we would win (aged well) due to our form at the time.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
I drove me and a mate who lives in Cambridgeshire as that’s where I’m based. Bit of traffic as was midweek after work but not too tough.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
Used the away car park right outside the ground. Was easy to get into. Booking it online was a pain as I had to do it via Walsall fc site and had to make an account with them but made getting in/out easy.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
View was great. We had a big section of the stadium that was larger than the allocation so we could spread out. The concourse was a bit funny as everything was in different sections. Example, the toilets you had to go through the concourse into the stand, walk to the corner and go around the back of the stand into these tiny facilities.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
For a crowd of about 3/4k, it was decent. Walsall came back from 2 down so they made plenty of noise to let us know about it.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
10/10.
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
Pretty easy but it wasn’t a huge crowd.
How much did you spend in total on this away day? Was it good value for money?
About £30/40 maybe. Was a decent game in terms of action on the pitch for a £10 cup tie.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Its friendly and a ground to tick off so sure.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
First game of the season.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
Drove. 2hr 30 minutes. Straight down the M6 so was fine until we got to Birmingham.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
We parked on the retail park behind the ground.
Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?
Kept it basic and went to the McDonald’s on the retail park.
What did you think of the food and drink available inside the ground?
Pies are great, would definitely recommend.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
Lost 1-0 so disappointing. Good day out though and the kids enjoyed it. View was good too.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
Both sets of fans were quiet throughout.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
Didn’t speak to anyone so 0/10?
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
I would recommend that if you park on the retail park, wait 1.5-2 hours before leaving until everyone else leaves.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes, definitely.

Why did you choose to go to this game and why were you looking forward to it?
Relatively short journey compared to other fixtures, and to tick another ground off the list. It was also the first game of the season.
How did you travel to the game and how easy was it?
Travelled by car which was very easy as it was mostly motorway. Short distance from junction to get back onto M5.
If you drove, was it easy to find car parking and make your way to the stadium?
We parked in an industrial estate lane. Was plenty of parking for away fans at the ground and in the train station car park opposite.
Which pubs did you go to before the game and what was the atmosphere like?
Park Inn Hotel (right next to the away end). There was a really good atmosphere, and it was good weather so fans spilled out into the garden and street area.
Where did you eat on your away day and was it good value?
McDonald’s. In the retail park car park right next to the ground and close to the parking.
What did you think of the away end and your view of the game?
A bit aged compared to the rest of the ground. Not very high up even in the back row, where I sat. Still a good view though.
What was the atmosphere like during the match?
Very good in the away end. Could hear the home fans at opposite end too.
How friendly were the home fans out of 10?
10/10. We didn’t have any issues. There were even comments made at end of the game from home fans wishing us a safe journey back.
How easy did you find it to get away from the stadium after the game?
Very easy as fans walked off in various directions and it didn’t feel too busy.
Would you recommend this away day to other fans?
Yes!
Is there anything else you want to tell other away fans?
The result didn’t go in our favour but it’s a great place to go.
